According to MuscleNerd, the iPhone Dev Team will release a version of Redsn0w that features major updates before Musclenerd’s trip to Korea.
The image MuscleNerd posted (embedded below) suggests that the new version of Redsn0w will have a simplified interface with two main buttons: “Jailbreak” and “Extras”. Upon hitting the “Jailbreak” button, users will be able to Jailbreak their iDevice(s) in a matter of seconds with the new “no IPSW selection” one-click Jailbreak implementation – yes that’s right, no more downloading your firmware and browsing for it!
When users hit the “Extras” button, they will gain access to some of Redsn0w’s key features: “Just boot” (tethered), “Pwned DFU” (for restoring to a custom IPSW in iTunes) and “Select IPSW” option (this allows users to manually select a firmware). There will also be three new options in the “Extras” portion of the new Redsn0w: “Recovery fix” (for exiting “forced” Recovery Mode), “SHSH blobs” (this will allow users to manage their SHSH blobs) and a new user “Preferences” panel.
Here’s the picture of the new Redsn0w that MuscleNerd posted on Twitter:
I’m sure you’re probably wondering when the new Redsn0w will be release well, MuscleNerd himself answered the same question on Twitter and here’s what he said:
Also in MuscleNerd’s reply to bigrich0272′s question, as seen above, he mentioned that they will eventually release a version of Redsn0w that’s “lightweight” and smaller than 15MB. Overall, the iPhone Dev Team is making significant improvements to their already world famous Jailbreak utility! With that said, stay tuned for more updates on this new version of Redsn0w and tutorials once it’s released!
