Following the recent “iPhone 5” dock connector leak, UBreakiFix publicized images they received from one of their distributors who claims that the pictures are of the entire next-generation iPhone front panel.
Unfortunately, the images aren’t too revealing and other leaks are strikingly similar to UBreakiFix’s photos. However, a closeup of the iPhone’s LCD display is also pictured, which hasn’t surfaced until now. Furthermore, a closer look at the back of the LCD connector reveals an area with a serial number (the image to the right).
The screen on the new iPhone is said to measure approximately four inches diagonally, which will increase the size half an inch from previous iPhone generations. However, the size of the display is rumored to extend vertically to closer match the 16:9 aspect ratio HD standard.
With rumors suggesting a significate design change, with the vertically enhanced screen, a smaller dock connector, the switch to a new nano-SIM standard, enlarged microphone and speaker grills, the repositioned headphone jack, noise-canceling microphone, front-facing camera, and sensors, most details about the device are falling into place. Said to be unveiled at Apple’s annual iPhone unveiling event on September 12th, this year’s conference will certainly be one to look forward to. Stay tuned for complete coverage on Apple and their upcoming event.
