Earlier today a report surfaced indicating that Apple has already begun internally seeding iPhones with next-generation components (mainly an A5X chip and 1GB of RAM) that are disguised with iPhone 4/4S casing. Building on the above rumor, based on the findings of an analyst and his recent trip to Asia, the next-generation iPhone will be exactly what Apple customers have been dreaming of since rumors of the “iPhone 5″ first started to populate the blogosphere last year.
Brian White, an analyst with Topeka Capital Markets, published a research report today that details what will set the next-generation iPhone apart from its predecessors. According to White, who cites “chatter” from suppliers as his main source, the next-generation iPhone will sport a 4-inch screen, a redesigned “sleek look” and 4G LTE capabilities:
In our view, this will be the most significant iPhone upgrade with a four-inch screen and a new, sleek look that we believe will require a Unibody case. This new, sleek look will be the most important reason that consumers decide to upgrade to the iPhone 5, while we believe the addition of 4G will also attract buyers of the new device.
Additionally, White predicts that the magnitude of the next-generation iPhone launch could be so “extraordinary” that it will dwarf all previous iPhone releases and send Apple’s stock close to $1,000 per share.
Despite that White’s claims for the upcoming iPhone are nothing new, he seems to be fairly confident that this release will be exactly what the media had hoped the iPhone 4S would be.
As always, stay tuned for more news and rumors related to Apple and their products!
