Today, only 11 days after releasing iOS 6.1 beta to developers, Apple has seeded iOS 6.1 beta 2. The build number for this new firmware has changed to 10B5105c from iOS 6.1 beta’s 10B5095f build number, indicating changes over the previous version.
Please remember that this is a beta firmware and users must have their device’s UDID registered with Apple before officially restoring to the updated build of 6.1. Similar to the first beta firmware, changes over 6.0.1 include an implementation method for Apple’s new mapping service, minor changes to the Safari web browsing app and improvements to how Passbook handles boarding passes.
If you’re registered through Apple’s Developer program, you can download the newest beta firmware through the iOS Developer portal. Stay tuned for complete coverage on Apple, 6.1 and their iOS devices.
