Today, exactly two weeks after seeding the third iOS 6.1 beta to registered developers, Apple has released iOS 6.1 beta 4. The build number for the new pre-release firmware has changed from iOS 6.1 beta 3′s 10B5117b build number to 10B5126b, suggesting various changes and improvements over the previous version.
Please remember that this is a beta firmware and individuals must have their device’s UDID registered with Apple before an they can be officially restored to the new 6.1 build. Similar to anterior versions of 6.1, the new firmware introduces an implementation method to developers for Apple’s iOS 6 mapping service, improvements to how Passbook manages boarding passes and brings minor changes to the Safari app.
Alongside iOS 6.1 beta 4, Apple also issued the third Apple TV beta firmware and Xcode 4.6 DP 4 to developers. Individuals who are registered through Apple’s iOS Developer program can download the new betas via Apple’s Developer Portal.
