While Apple’s Wi-Fi iPad mini and full-sized fourth generation iPad models went on sale last Friday, their cellular capable counterparts were said to ship in mid-November. Although Apple previously listed delivery estimates in their United States online store for those who were interested in pre-ordering, their slightly more specific timeframes have since reverted to the same “mid-November” estimate.
With no official word from Apple, customers were left in the dark when it comes to a solid release date for the cellular new tablets. Now however, forum members from MacRumors who pre-ordered the new cellular iPad mini models are reporting delivery estimates as early as November 21st, with a handful of iPads arriving on the 20th.
Alternatively, customers who opted for the new A6X-based fourth generation cellular iPad mostly report that their orders are scheduled to arrive on November 23rd.
Moreover, shipping estimates for customers who are looking to newly purchase the iPad mini have since changed to “2 weeks”, whereas cellular-capble fourth-generation iPad models are displaying “7 business days”.
On a related note, as reported by MacRumors, a customer who enquired about the arrival of his fourth-generation iPad in a call to Apple’s customer service received free Next Day Shipping to better accommodate his travel plans. His order is expected to arrive on November 16th (one day after Apple is scheduled to ship new pre-orders for the full-sized iPad).
