First graphite iPhone 5S iPad mini 2 videoToday, I’m excited to provide my readers with an in-depth look at the graphite version of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 5S and a leaked rear shell component belonging to the second-generation iPad mini.¬†First, let’s start with some background details on the upcoming iPhone 5S, all of which are based on now widely accepted rumors. The device will feature a near-identical design to the iPhone 5, with it’s two-tone aluminum and glass rear shell, and will be sold under the same pricing structure as its predecessor. Those who are looking for a cheaper alternative will likely turn to the plastic iPhone 5C.

In total, there will reportedly be four different colors for the iPhone 5S: the traditional black with slate and white with silver models that Apple introduced with the release of the iPhone 5 and new color schemes, gold with white and graphite with black. The video embedded below showcases both of the new color options for the iPhone that will be available next month.

The iPhone 5S will be powered by an improved processor, with the strong possibility of featuring a built-in fingerprint sensor for improved security and an upgraded camera with improved optics (likely in the 10-14MP range). It’s also possible that the iPhone 5S will feature an upgrade to 2GB of RAM and sport a new Retina display with improved color accuracy
The button layout for the iPhone 5S is identical to that of the iPhone 5. On the top, the device has the traditional power and lock button. The left of the 5S will have the same silent toggle and volume rocker buttons found on the iPhone 5. On the bottom, starting from left to right, the iPhone 5S has cutouts for the headphone jack port, the microphone grill, space for a screw, the lightning connector port, space for another screw and the speaker grill.

The right of the device simply has a cutout for the SIM tray, which will utilize the same nano-SIM technology found in its predecessor. On the back, the iPhone 5S will have a rear-facing camera and an improved dual-LED flash, with a noise canceling microphone situated in the middle.

Both the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C will reportedly be unveiled on September 10th during a special media event, and will be released on September 20th.

Stay tuned for complete details and in-depth video coverage on Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C.
