Aside from addressing bugs and issues, today’s iOS 5.1 beta 3 build also restores the “Enable” 3G toggle in the Settings app.
When Apple released the iPhone 4S, the option to toggle 3G simply disappeared from the new device and was replaced with a “Cellular Data” toggle. As the name implies, the “Cellular Data” toggle completely turns off the phone’s data connection without allowing the user to fall back from 3G to Edge.
However, according to 9to5Mac’s sources, the “Enable 3G” toggle has returned to the iPhone 4S with the release of iOS 5.1 beta 3 (click here to see the rest of the changes in 5.1 beta 3).
