iPhone 3GS Users Won’t Be Able To Update To iOS 5

by on May 26, 2011

With all of the issues that the iOS 4 brought to the iPhone 3GS (random reboots, poor battery life, slower performance and an overall sluggish UI), it was pretty clear that the iPhone 3GS would soon stop receiving updates from Apple – thus rendering the phone outdated.

According to the well-informed Eldar Murtazin (who, isn’t always right but often nails the big stuff), the iPhone 3GS be getting an iOS 5 update. This actually isn’t too surprising: the 3GS is nearly two years old, and we all know what happened to the iPhone 2G on it’s 2nd birthday and the iPhone 3G who lived to see it’s 2nd birthday but not for very long.

Stay tuned for more updates.
