Yesterday brought a few very interesting iOS 5.1 Jailbreak updates, pod2g revealed that he has achieved an untethered Jailbreak on the 3rd-generation iPad running 5.1. Additionally, he was planning on testing the Jailbreak on 5.1.1 and revealed that a release is still “weeks away”.
Today, in a quick Twitter update, pod2g announce that he’s tested the iOS 5.1.1 untethered Jailbreak on the “iPad 3,1″ (3rd-generation iPad) and that it works with “no issue”:
Unfortunately, even with pod2g’s success as of late, what he said yesterday still remains true. According to pod2g, a “nice” and “user friendly tool” is still “weeks away”.
