How To Jailbreak iOS 5 Beta 2 [VIDEO]

iOS 5 beta 2 was seeded to developers today – and MuscleNerd has confirmed that it can be Jailbroken via the same steps used to Jailbreak Apple’s iOS 5 beta 1 firmware.

Steps:

1. DOWNLOAD REDSN0W LISTED IN THE DOWNLOAD SECTION BELOW!

2. Plug in your iDevice and run Redsn0w

3. Browse for your 5.0 b1 firmware in Redsn0w and select it (even if your on a higher iOS 5 beta firmware)

4. Hit next and then check install Cydia

5. Hit next and follow the on screen instructions, they are as follows:
a. Hold down the power button for 3 seconds
b. Continue holding the power button and start holding the home button and continue HOLDING BOTH for 10 seconds
c. Let go of power and continue holding home button for 10-15 seconds

6. Wait for it to finish and reboot

7. NOW YOU MUST KEEP YOUR DEVICE PLUGED IN AND CONTINUE THIS TUTORIAL!

8. Run Redsn0w

9. Browse for your 5.0 b1 firmware in Redsn0w and select it (even if your on a higher iOS 5 beta firmware)

10. Hit next and then check install Just Boot Tethered Now

11. Hit next and follow the on screen instructions, they are as follows:
a. Hold down the power button for 3 seconds
b. Continue holding the power button and start holding the home button and continue HOLDING BOTH for 10 seconds
c. Let go of power and continue holding home button for 10-15 seconds

**YOU MUST FOLLOW STEPS 7-11 EVERY TIME YOU REBOOT**

DON’T ATTEMPT IF YOU RELY ON A CARRIER UNLOCK – IT WILL UPDATE YOUR BASEBAND!

You MUST HAVE iOS 5 b1 AND your iDevice restored to the beta you want to be on (IE iOS 5 b2) AND YOU NEED YOUR UDID REGISTERED!

It Doesn’t work for the iPad 2 because the limra1n/SHAtter exploits are both patched for it!
