According to Tinhte.vn, a Vietnamese site that’s in possession of a third-generation iPad, the A5X dual-core chip in Apple’s newest tablet is the same speed as its predecessor’s A5 chip (1.0 GHz).
The new iPad’s Geekbench score (a type of performance benchmark rating) of 756 is practically identical to that of the iPad 2′s score – however, Geekbench only takes into account processor and memory performance.
The Geekbench test also revealed that the new iPad has been upgraded from 512 MB of RAM to 1 GB of RAM- this will allow for more apps to run simultaneously.
