For those customers who pre-ordered immediately, their iPod’s have begun to ship with estimated delivery dates as early as Friday, Oct 12th.
As noted by WeiPhone, certain stores have started stocking the new iPod models – the below image was posted as evidence.
Additionally, Macotakara claims to have received both the new iPod touch and iPod nano. They have performed various benchmark tests using the new iPod touch, the results? Not surprising.
While the new A5-powered iPod touch is on par with the iPhone 4S, it falls short of both the third-generation iPad and the iPad 2 where performance is concerned. When compared against the new A6-based iPhone 5, the iPod touch 5th-generation is clearly inferior.
