The above video is my unboxing of Google’s Nexus 7 tablet. Announced in June, the new Nexus 7 sports a 7-inch HD display, a quad-core Tegra 3 processor and runs Google’s latest Android operating system (Jelly Bean).
Intended to compete with the “cheap” tablet market, primarily Amazon’s Kindle fire, the Nexus 7 also boasts hardware worthy of competing with higher-end tablets.
Here’s a complete list of specifications:
- 7-inch 1280-by-800 HD display (216 PPI)
- Scratch-resistant Corning glass
- Quad-core Tegra 3 processor
- 8GB or 16GB of internal storage (non-expandable)
- 4325 mAh battery
- Microphone
- NFC (for Android Beam and other apps that support NFC)
- Accelerometer
- GPS
- Magnetometer
- Gyroscope
- 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
- 0.75 pounds
- Runs Android Jelly Bean
Stay tuned for additional coverage on Google and their new Nexus 7 tablet.
