With Apple’s iPhone media event rumored to be held on September 12th, there have been no shortage of rumors pertaining to the “iPhone 5″. Love it or hate it, one primary design has been the focal point for the plethora of rumors surrounding the next-genertion device.

After numerous leaks pertaining to the “new iPhone”, today Nowhereelse posted images of what they’re claiming is the connector end of the USB that’s compatible with the next-generation iPhone.
Following numerous “iPhone 5″ part leaks (including the proposed SIM tray, home button and, more recently, information pertaining to a smaller “9pin” dock connector), Nowhereelse has recently posted comparison charts of alleged “iPhone 5″ parts and corresponding parts from its predecessors.
In February of 2012, iMore was the first to suggest that Apple’s next-generation “iPhone 5″ will feature a smaller, redesigned dock connector. Now, with similar reports populating influential and reputable areas of the blogosphere, including all of the recent leaks, iMore’s preliminary report bears more merit.
Over the past few months, a popular topic throughout the blogosphere and even various news outlets, has been Apple’s next-generation iPhone. Of course, during this time, the majority of news and rumors were focused on a leaked design that sported a vertically enhanced screen and a two-tone back with a smaller dock connector port.
According to a report from Nowhereelse, the same report that suggests Apple will adopt the new nano-SIM standard, the next-generation iPhone will feature a newly designed home button.
Two months ago, in June, it was reported that the European Telecommunications Institute (ETSI) adopted a new standard for the next-generation of SIM cards, dubbed nano-SIMs.
