According to Taiwan Economic News, Apple has recently signed deals with both Simplo Technology Co. and Dynapack International Technology Corp. to manufacture battery packs for Apple’s upcoming iPad 3. ‘
The report also states that the new iPad 3 battery packs will be thinner and lighter than the batteries currently used in the iPad 2. The new battery packs will also feature a “longer service life” than previous-generations and, it has the possibly to extend the iPad 3′s battery life! As a result of this deal, Apple will have to pay approximately 20%-30% more for the new battery packs. This change could also result in an even thinner iPad that could potentially support more power-intensive components!
