The New iOS 5.0.1 (9A406) Build Was Issued To Address SIM Card Errors
The other day Apple released a new version of iOS 5.0.1 exclusively for iPhone 4S users. The initial thought behind the re-release of iOS 5.0.1 was that Apple had finally fixed the battery life issues that have been the iPhone 4S’ Achilles’ heel since the device’s release this Fall.
However, it turns out that the updated build of iOS 5.0.1 was actually meant to address issues that some iPhone 4S users were experiencing regarding SIM card errors. Also, keep in mind that Apple could have implemented other various bug fixes into the newly re-released iPhone 4S-exclusive iOS 5.0.1 build.
