Top 5 Free Cydia Tweaks For July, 2012

by on July 12, 2012

By popular demand, I’m reviving my old “Top 5″ series on YouTube – videos dedicated to providing intriguing and helpful information related to various tweaks, utilities and apps that I frequently use.

To celebrate the reinstatement of my all but discontinued series, I created the above video to provide my viewers with information regarding five useful and free tweaks available in Cydia.

After watching the video, feel free to install the utilities and tweaks for yourself. As previously mentioned, they can be downloaded free of charge and are available without adding any additional repositories.

Also, here are the synopsis’ of each of the packages mentioned in the video:

1. Unfold replaces the standard “slide to unlock” screen with a new and elegant “fold to unlock” concept.

2. Zeppelin allows users to customize their boring “AT&T”, “Verizon”, “Sprint”, “iPad” or “iPod Touch” carrier names with hundreds of available icons and images.

3. SwipeSelection turns the keyboard into a precise cursor and selection tool simply by holding down the keyboard keys and “swiping”.

4. CoverMeNot doubles the height of notification banners so that notifications aren’t as intrusive and no longer cover icons, and or buttons, near the status bar.

5. Ipsum enables the ability to swipe backwards on lockscreen notifications to easily dismiss them.

That’s it for this “Top 5″ video, remember, if you have any suggestions or comments, leave them down below in the comment section and stay tuned for future videos.
