According to a short and concise report from TechCrunch that cites a Verizon employee, the carrier has implemented a company-wide vacation block from September 21st until the end of the month. Apple’s next-generation iPhone unveiling event is rumored to be held on September 12th. Moreover, the next iPhone is expected to go on sale September 21st and be delivered to those who pre-oredered ahead of the device’s release.
A trusted Verizon employee has just confirmed to TechCrunch that the carrier is having an all-staff vacation blackout from the dates of Friday, September 21 to September 30. You know what that means, right?
In years past, similar blackouts were put in place prior to iPhone launch dates. However, while this very well could be an authentic block on Verizon’s behalf, the timeframe for the vacation block is subject to change based on possible alterations to Apple’s schedule.
With recent leaks all but confirming the vertically enhanced, two-tone back design with a repositioned headphone jack and redesign dock connector, this year’s unveiling event is bound to be the spotlight of the blogosphere. Of course, stay tuned for complete coverage on Apple and their upcoming iPhone event.
